The questions and answers that follow are provided by the Law Offices of Kevin Le, PLLC to help consumers make informed decisions about deciding whether or not to retain the services of an attorney. This information should not be used as a substitute for a discussion with a qualified legal professional. Please contact us with specific questions about your case.

Q: Isn’t it expensive for a consumer to retain an attorney?

A: No. Our legal services are provided to consumers under state and federal laws that require product manufacturers and automobile dealers to pay for the consumer’s attorney upon the successful resolution of a claim. Please note that you may be responsible for paying minimal court costs, filing fees, or expert fees. If you do not receive any recovery, you will not pay any attorneys’ fees.

Q: Does your office handle used lemon cars?

A: Unfortunately, at this time, our office does not handle used lemon cars.

Q: What is the Lemon Law?

A: The Lemon Law is a statute that provides a remedy to consumers for automobiles that repeatedly fail to meet certain standards of quality and performance. The Lemon Law is designed to protect consumers. As of 1993, all fifty U.S. states have passed Lemon Laws. Each state has different standards and procedures, but all have similar coverage.

Q: I think I may have a lemon. What should I do?

A: You can legally take action if you feel you have been sold a lemon automobile or consumer product. When you work with us – you can fight back without paying attorneys’ fees.*

Q: Why should I hire your law office?

A: .By choosing us, you benefit from having your case personally handled by a Texas licensed attorney from start to finish.

By choosing us, you benefit from having your case handled by a law firm that focuses its entire practice on lemon law cases. We handle your case efficiently without undue delay.

By choosing us, you benefit from a win-win outcome. If your case is settled or won at trial, then the manufacturer or dealer will be responsible for paying our attorneys’ fee. You will then be responsible for paying nominal court costs, filing fees, or expert fees (if necessary). If your case does not prevail, we do not get paid — we will not charge you for any nominal court costs, filing fees, or expert fees that we pay in advance on your behalf.

Q: The repair was small. Should I ask the dealer to issue me a repair order?

A: Yes. A small repair today does not mean that the same problem might not come up again in the future. A repair order is the only document that proves you were at the dealer and that such repair occurred.

Q: What information is important on a repair order?

A: Make sure the repair order accurately reflects the date you dropped off the vehicle for repair and the date you picked up the vehicle when the repairs were completed. Make sure the dealership accurately describe your complaints in your words, not the dealership’s words.

Q: I have asked the car dealership to take back my lemon, but they refused. Why is that?

A: If you feel like you have been sold a lemon and you attempt to go directly to the dealer to solve the problem – do not get frustrated if issues are not getting resolved. Dealerships know that most people are not aware that they can get legal help without paying attorneys’ fees. They do not back down because they do not expect you to fully take advantage of your lemon law rights. Some people give up before they begin to exercise their lemon law rights.

Q: How long will it take for the Law Offices of Kevin Le, PLLC to resolve a case?

A: While some cases are resolved within a few weeks after consulting an attorney, other cases may take longer. The resolution of a case depends on the consumer’s ability to provide Law Offices of Kevin Le, PLLC with accurate and complete information and the attitude of the selling dealership and/or manufacturer. The Law Offices of Kevin Le, PLLC makes every effort to get its clients the largest settlement they are entitled to and to resolve each case as quickly as possible.
